About Us

MEP Provides a holistic transition to Islam by collaborating with existing initiatives to provide “hands-on” assistance to new and returning Muslims through:

  • Educational support
  • Social support
  • Mentoring/Buddy System
  • Referrals to enable connection to other resources and communities

MEP, a metro Detroit based non-profit organization, research papers was founded in December 2010 and an office was opened at the University Islamic Center of Detroit in 2011.

Since beginning its operations, MEP has established a number of collaborative relationships with area Mosques and Islamic centers, student groups and other organizations. MEP has established regular classes, organized series of social (community) events, while being engaged in a process of creating “community awareness” about its efforts.

It is not our intent to replicate or replace existing efforts. Our approach is to coordinate and be a liaison between existing initiatives, complementing where needed and providing templates to communities where services are not currently available.

MEP is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, as well as zakat eligible. All donations are tax-deductible.
